If Your Service Has Buffering Issues

Here are all possible reasons for buffering / Lagging 

Any questions regarding JLVOD app can not be answered as stated on the purchase page along with your welcome email for legal reasons.
Everything that is needed to know and trouble shoot JLVOD app is in your JL+VIP Welcome email at the bottom where it states IMPORTANT REASD BEFORE USING APPS
If you need your JLVOD instructions from your JL+VIP welcome email re sent please create a ticket and ask to have them re sent



Make sure you are using the most up.to date JLTV app.

If you have a slower wifi conection speed you can make your buffer size larger within the JLTV app Settings
Settings/Playback/BufferSize

(Larger Buffer Size will take longer to load the video but will download more at a time to watch) 


If its a specific channel, this would mean its an issue on the providers end. They fix channels once per day. If its been going on longer than 24h straight let us know and we will let the provider know



People will say “My other apps like Crave and Netflix work fine”. This is true because those are downloaded and not live streamed as with IPTV..



Power cycle your modem by unplugging it from the wall for 3 mins. Its a great time to do the same with your firestick or other media device. We recommend doing this weekly or bi-weekly depending on usage.



You will also want to check your internet connection speed on the device.

 

Use your SilkBrowser or any browser of your choice on the actual device you have JLTV on and go to this website and run the test.

Minimum Download Needed - 40mbps

 

Maximum Ping - 60ms (over 100ms is very bad) 




Then it can be other issues like:



Your router may be to far from your device. A router placed in a basement, a closet, back room etc.. is not ideal. A router should be central to your home and high up. (Wifi signal will goes out straight and down easily but does not go UP  well.)

 

IF YOU ARE USING A VPN - 

 

A VPN can slow you - try switching cities in your vpn or turning it off to see if that's your issue.

 

IF YOU ARE NOT USING A VPN- 

 

Your ISP can be throttling you - you'll then need a VPN (Very rare but can happen if your internet provider finds out you're using IPTV) 



Your device can be running slow or have other issues - you can try a factory reset and start it fresh.

- Not having enough physical or virtual storage space is a big cause of buffering. You should have at least 1GB free space on your device at all times to run apps.



Your device could have other issues and need replacement.




Could also be many other things like wifi interference,

Channels usually freeze (Not Buffer) and sound usually continues because this is the primary channel provider trying to deter people from using IPTV, This is them constantly changing code within their system. The freeze is our provider switching code bringing the channel back.
It is a constant battle ,especially with local channels during news and other shows the original provider knows people will be watching and get tenured away from iptv.
The battle will always continue between the 2


Sports Games Such as NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA etc.. Hockey, Football, Baseball, Basketball
These games should be watched in the Sports Category in the app that corresponds with the sport such as ZONE and TEAMS categories 
If one of those channels are not working correctly sch as buffering you can use the search function within the app to find all the other channels they are also playing on
